Hello 2017

Today is the last day of 2016.

I have made many blogging friends this year. I have found confidence again in my words. And I have started developing my YouTube channel & social media presence.

I am loving every moment of it.

I hope that 2017 can see me calling it my job. I would love to earn a little from my hard work.

I love writing about what is passionate to me.

I would never blog or vlog about something that doesn’t fit with my family or that dosent quite sit right with me.

Everything I review is 100% my own views.

Thank you all for supporting me this past year.

I hope that next year I can connect with more of you.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. We can develop our village online together.

So look out for exciting vlogs, emotional blogs and more Instagram photos from me in 2017.

See you all in 2017.

Just a quick hello

I’ve put down my pen or rather my keyboard during December to participate in Vlogmas.

I just can’t seem to do both. Editing a daily blog is hard work. So I decided just to concentrate on one.

So I just thought I’d come over here and say a quick hello.

In a few days time we will beawaiting Father   Christmas and eating so much we just need to sleep. I will be awaiting Dr Who and drinking Bailieys.

Then it will be time to think about New Year.

I will head over between Christmas and new year to tell you a few of my 2017 plans & goals.

I’m also planning a video for Goals of 2017 so head over to My YouTube for that.

So I’ll see you again in a few days.

It’s now only 11 weeks until Christmas and they will pass by before you know it!

I have loads of memories I’d like to make with my kids this Christmas This is a bucket list of activities I want to cross of over the festive season!

  2. Letters to Santa – When I was young I would write my letter to santa and then we would use magic dust and put it in the fire-place where is would whoosh up the chimney and then to santa’s desk!
  3.  Christmas Crafts – I have an extensive collection of pinterest pins for Christmas crafts to do with the kids. I’m looking forward to creating things with them this year.

  8. Choose a real Tree – In the Village next to us there is a little tree farm I visited with a friend last year. Each year I’ve said I’d like a real tree I think this year is the year!
  9. Game Night – We have loads of games name that tune, rapidough, scene it, but we never play them anymore. I would like to invite a few friends over put away the phones order some pizza and have a game night.
  10. Trim the tree This year my plan is to let the kids decorate a little on a weekend and then re trim while they are at school.

#WickedWednesday – Puddinggate

Two nights ago I spent an hour fighting with a small boy who wanted pudding.

We sat down for dinner, I’d made some pasta and sauce concoction, and while M and I were happily scoffing our pasta down J spent most of he time playing with his toys
After about 30mins he said he wanted his pudding. He still hadn’t eaten his dinner.
I told him like a role model parent if he eats his dinner then I will go and get pudding. M sat patiently waiting for her brother as it wouldn’t be fair to let one and not the other.
However. While I was talking to M, J did no more but picked up his plate and scraped it in the bin!
He then started to strop so to save agro I took him to his room.
An hour went by before he actually calmed down but this is what I went through……

..as well as trying to comfort and distract him with books and stories and what do you think you will do at school tomorrow?

I nearly caved in a few times but I was proud of myself for sticking with it.

Afterwards it was like nothing had happened – I told him I loved him gave him a hug and tucked him in bed.
This boy now knows mummy means business. …..
Until next time!

This post was sponsored/ supported by my friends and my glass of wine! 😉

They Weren’t all toned size 6!

On Thursday The kids went to holiday club, I headed to Bannatynes Gym and I joined for a months trial.

Have you seen the Miranda episode when she try’s to quit the Gym?

Well it felt a little like that.

I may have only signed for a month but if I don’t give a months written notice from the first of the month then they will continue your membership and take the next month payment out! (I had joined on the second so already I’m past the cut off date to hand in my notice – So I decided to see how I go and write out my letter for July so in effect I will be having a 2 month trial) It may be I don’t need to cancel and that I will continue for a full 12 months.

Anyway, I’ve joined I’m now a member of a proper gym!

I have to say it wasnt as bad as I thought It wasnt full of toned size 6’s or even 10’s There were normal people like me and you (I’m Not saying you’re not a size 6 -10) (Or in fact that your normal?!)

I only had time for a swim that day but next week I’m going to check out the running machines & Sign up for a zumba lesson.

I really love zumba and I can really tell a difference in not just my anxiety but also my fitness!

After my swim I spotted a scales The type that take your hight weight Calculate your BMI & Check your fat percentage.

I thought New month New gym Lets take a reading today and check again after a month to see if it has made a difference.

So here are my stats For June.

Check back Next month to see how I get on

In the meantime If you have been thinking about joining a gym why not have a tour and maybe sign up to a months trial or even a day pass – but just check those terms and conditions. :-/

It’s not a scary though as I thought it was going to be!

Wednesday Whinges

Today we set off for school in our normal manner “Kids Come on were going to be late”

As they scooted up the street on their bikes J hit the wall and fell off!

when I picked him up and asked what hurt he pointed to his head.

So we turned around and went to see Grandma – Should I take him to school, Drs, A&E? I asked.

No Id keep him off but keep an eye on him. So I left him with her while I took M.

If only I could get up earlier then we wouldn’t be rushing I think to myself.

What I should think is accidents happen we learn from them and move on. We are all guilt of mum guilt sometimes for many different things.

This is probably the hardest job we ever have to do – Being a parent.

Give yourself a break! Pat yourself on the back! Tell yourself what good job your doing.

And if things go wrong have a snuggle.

See you Next Time x

Obligatory First Post.

So i’ve blogged before on another site but I wanted a fresh start for ready for a cuppa.

So here is a bit of background-

Married – Yes, I had a crush on my husband when I went to do work experience at his dads company, We went our separate ways but eventually we found each other.

Children – Boy / Girl Twins 4 years old.  After 5 years of infertility and being told about different options  Finally a course of Clomid did the trick.

Health – fairly healthy though suffer on and off with anxiety & depression. Could do with being fitter which would mean cutting out cake I’m not sure I’m ready for this yet.

Work – I’m a stay at home mum / Wife the hardest job I’ve ever had to do.

Hobbies – I am a member of the WI, I love to craft like writing my blog and creating content for my You Tube channel. I also like to swim and have recently found sea swimming a bit of an addiction ( only while in a warm climate)

Goals – To live in Lanzarote, To be content with life, to continue to watch my children grow.

Thank-you for joining me on the rollercoaster that is motherhood.
